Wow, this was a low-cost hotel not far from Times Square and it's really pretty cool. The room is small as advertised, but serves as a great encourager to not stay in it. The cab ride over from LaGuardia wasn't bad, about $30. The hotel is clean, and almost reminds me of the W line. The elevators have a very dim, soft purple light–I was trying to hold the elevator for an English couple and could not find the Open Doors button. The lobby is way cool, SM Radio playing loudly and you feel like you've stepped into some groovy place. Well, you have. Or I did.
Dinner is in a couple hours. I'm going to see about getting in a few winks. I got up at 5 hoping to catch an up grade, but since AA canceled the 10:30 a.m. flight today last night about 10:30 p.m., all those fokes were trying and many did, get on our flight, which was supposed to have boarded at 830 and didn't until 10:30 a.m. So, instead of it being a quick run up here, it has been a long day. I left home at 6 a.m. hoping to get some rest and didn't get here until 3:30. That makes for a long day and leads me to wonder what the return flight is going to be like, as LaGuardia isn't known for being an easy airport to get in and out of. Sta tuned. Reviews of The Palm West are coming later tonight.
